ADADEMIC
The Academic year commenced from July 2008 with the
admission of 180 students for Computer Science, Electronics
and Commn, Commercial Practice and Fashion technology
Courses.
The even semester examinations were held in the month
of May 2008 and the results were announced. We are glad
to announce that our Polytechnic has secured 19 Distinctions
(15 in Computer Science, 2 in Electronics and Coon and
2 in Fashion Technology)/ The Odd Semester Examinations
was held in the Month of November and the results are
awaited.
The ‘Haji Nabi Sharief Gold Medal’ are awarded for
the highest score in the VI Sem Examination for the
year 2008

An Annual Progress Report for continuation
of affiliation was submitted to the Board of Technical
Education and All India Council of Technical Education,
New Delhi. A proposal for enhancement of intake in the
department of Computer Science and Electronics and Commn
from 60 to 90 seats and sanction of new courses in Information
Science were also submitted to the respective authorities.
Inspection committee from Board of Technical Education
visited the Polytechnic on 16th October to monitor the
infrastructure and the syllabus completion as per the
curriculum. We are glad to inform that all the departments
were grated with “A” and an inspection committee from
All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi
is expected by the end of January.
Our Polytechnic has completed 22 years of its inception,
on the basis we have applied for Grant in Aid.
We are preparing our institutions for applying for Accreditation
to National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, and ISO
9001 Certification.

The final students of Electronics and
Communication departments are working on Embedded and
Micro Controller based projects like

- Micro Controller based College Bell with RTC System
- GSM based earth quake Warning Systems

We are glad to inform that our students
of Electronics and Communication had participated in
Projects Presentation in ‘Explore Electronics Fair 2008’
held at Vesveshwarya Industrial and technical Museum
and we have won third prize.
The students of Final Year Fashion
technology are working of their
Mughal Era: This era denotes intricate
designs and silhouettes. As the era goes with the rich
designs that are beautiful embellished on Anarkali cut
dresses and Frames. This style era denoted elegance
with royalty.
Retro: This era depicts
style of 70’s. The sagging kurties with churidars and
dividers. This style line denotes elegance and peppy
look at the same time.

Technology
A programme by name ‘SPARK’
Raising Aspirations was organized by INFOSYS on 13th
December 2008, the final year students of all the courses
participated. Few students of Commercial Practice Departments
fro Group Discussion on Research on Mobile Phone (using
Web in Mobile Phone) held at Richmond Hotel. The students
of Final year are planning to participate in the ‘Do
it yourself’ projects to be held at Gulbarg on 30 &
31st of Jan 2009.
