CHEMISTRY
The chemistry is in existence since from the inception of the college 1980. It has excellent lab with adequate accommodation and equipment for conducting practical classes for about 30 students at a time. The department faculty is well qualified and experienced and actively involved in carrying out academic developmental and research activities. They have attended as well as organised several seminars/workshops/conferences etc., besides publishing research papers in international/national journals and conferences. The department has R&D centre recognised by VisvesvarayaTechnolobical University (VTU), Belgaum. Two faculty members of the department have been recognised as research guide from VTU. Six research scholars have registered for Ph.D programme under VTU through department research centre. The department is involved in various activities in addition to the academic work viz., test coordinator, magazine committee, ISTE chapter, sports committee, cultural committee, campus discipline committee and hostel warden.
Dr. K.GManjunatha:1.He has an Indian Patent in his name for finding out new synthesis process in preparation of conducting polyaniline.
2.He is appointed as Chairman Board of Examiner of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum for the academic year 2017-2018.
3.Nominated as Member Ramanagaram District Crisis Committee member to monitor the industrial safety in Ramanagaram district
4. He has delivered an Invited talk in International conference held at Bngkok, Thailand in January 2017.
5. He has delivered ten invited talk in various conference, seminars and work shops..
6. He is nominated as VTU local inquiry committee.
Dr. H.M. Parveez Ahmed:He is nominated as reviewer for international journal “Thin Solid films” and received a letter appreciation as outstanding reviewer from the editorial board of the journal.
