Long Range Goals
- To impart Quality and State of art Technical education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
- To offer courses leading to B.E degree, Master degree and Ph.D. degree.
- To develop learning resource materials such as Laboratory Manuals, Transparencies, Film slides, Audio/ Video Tapes , Charts and demonstration model to supplement Class Room Teaching.
- To offer Counselling to the students related to their Academic/ Professional career.
- To organize Programmes for Technical and Intellectual advancement of students and also to help in developing the overall personality of students.
- To organize Programmes related to Career guidance, Challenges in Engineering and Technology and potential / incentive / benefits available from various agencies for entrepreneurship.
- To undertake extension work and appraise people in rural areas about the development and application of Computer Science and Engineering.
- To undertake consultancy work in the area of Computer Science.
- To undertake Research studies in the thrust areas of Computer Science.
- To procure State of the art Educational Technology aids to enhance teaching / learning process.
Short Range Goals
- To Develop Trained man power acceptable to user systems.
- To establish state of the art Infrastructure facilities in the various laboratories.
- To encourage and motivate staff members to pursue higher studies.
- To modernize the facilities in the laboratories and remove Obsolute equipments.
- To upgrade and strengthen Infrastructure facilities in various laboratories.
- To encourage staff members to attend and publish Technical Papers Conferences / Seminars / Workshops at National and International levels.
- To develop the learning resource materials to enhance the teaching / learning process.
Other Achievements:
The department of Computer Science Engineering along with other departments have adopted a village by name Jadenahalli near Bidadi, for rural developments.
We in the department of Computer Science & Engineering have conducted a three days computer awareness program for rural school teachers.
